beginner flow classes
Beginning shakti flow yoga classes include methodical and foundational instruction in yoga poses, flows, and breathing practices in order to awaken safely and with confidence. The fundamental alignment principles of yoga, right angles, straight lines, and cohesive planes are wisely guided in harmony with the loops and spirals of physical articulations and energetic vitality. We may wade into the basics of meditation, mantra, and yoga philosophy. Recommended for people beginning at the beginning.
all-levels shakti flow class
All-levels shakti flow yoga classes focus on the union of breath with movement and the relationship between stillness and flow. Practitioners are encouraged to allow the internal flows of energy, stoked by the movement of the body, to inform the authenticity of the alignment of the poses. Shakti flow yoga lineage teachings are experienced through asana, meditation, mantra, and pranayama practices.
Appropriate for all levels of experience, some familiarity with flow yoga through beginner classes is recommended.
restorative yoga, meditation & reiki classes
This deeply relaxing class includes restorative yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and reiki healing. Restorative yoga involves the use of props (sometimes lots of props!) to allow the body to feel totally supported, to passively stretch, and then to relax and release. Long holds in these gentle postures invite deep healing through all levels of being. The first Thursday of each month will have a focus on the elemental mandala of emotions.
Appropriate for: everyone, including those contending with injury and illness. This class is also recommended as a complement to a more vigorous practice, and for people who sustain large amounts of stress in their lives.
pre-class meditation sadhana
Mantra meditation is an open studio to settle into stillness preluding the flow of asana class. Present practitioners may quietly sit, stretch on their mats, or join in a healing mantra circle chanting sanskrit to awaken latent liberations. The mantras unlock stuck vibrations of light and sound in the body simply be being present to or participating in the recitation. Stepping into yoga poses from this deep seat is quintessential to the pinnacle shakti flow yoga experience. If you sit in the circle you will inevitably learn sanskrit at least well enough to chant it.
periodic intensives, series & workshops
To offer students seasoned in shakti flow an opportunity to delve deeper into the flow and other lineage practices: asana workshops, meditation workshops, Sanskrit workshops, Twilight Series, etc.

10 Class Pass: $120 (Cards left dormant for more than three months will be retired.)
Monthly Unlimited: $100/month
Private one-on-one: Available at a sliding scale fee of $50-$100/hour.

First time At Om students can purchase an unlimited monthly pass for $40. This pass must be purchased at your first class. Please see instructor for details.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Taking into account your financial comfort and the importance these yoga classes hold for you, we will be happy to talk with you about an appropriate fee.
yoga for fascial release
The human body is composed of a myriad of interconnected lines of connective tissue called fascia that encase and support muscles and organs. Restrictions in fascia can limit the ability to contract and lengthen muscles and move joints freely. This deeply relaxing and restorative class will teach you to use yoga blocks, therapy balls, and active stretching to locate and release fascial restrictions in key areas of the body.
